ResNet is pleased to announce new print release stations in each of the nine residence halls! Print release stations allow resident students to print documents free of charge directly from their room without the need to visit a computer lab.
Print release stations are located in the lounge areas of each residence hall. Please note that this service is part of the ResNet program and is only available to resident students. Non-resident students will be unable to print to residence hall print stations.
The following links provide step-by-step instructions (with screenshots) for mapping the printer:
Please contact ResNet for any technical support requests. We can be reached by calling 508-531-7999 or by submitting a service request from the ResNet website http://resnet.bridgew.edu/servicerequest.cfm.
Residence hall printing utilizes the wireless network to send print jobs to the print stations. After mapping the printer in your residence hall, the print job is sent wirelessly to the print release station. After you enter your BSU username and password, you will see your document waiting to be released.
Who can print to the Residence Hall Print Stations?Print release stations are a service provided under the ResNet program. As a result, only resident students are allowed to print to the print release stations in the residence halls. Non-resident students can use printers located in campus computer labs.
How much does printing cost?Nothing! This service is included in the ResNet program and allows resident students to print free of charge. To control waste, you must still release your document after sending it to the printer.
Who do I contact for paper and toner?ResNet is responsible for ensuring each print release station is stocked with adequate paper and toner. Each printer is configured with an automated alert that notifies us when paper or toner is running low. Once we receive these alerts, ResNet staff will add paper and replace toner as necessary. In the event supplies are needed during non-business hours, please visit your RD for additional paper and toner.
Who do I contact for technical support?ResNet provides technical support for residence hall print stations. We can be reached by calling 508-531-7999 or by submitting a service request from the ResNet website http://resnet.bridgew.edu/servicerequest.cfm.
I'm a resident student, can I print to any residential print station or just the one in my residence hall?Yes! As long as you are a resident student, you can print to any residence hall print station. Please reference the instructions above for mapping additional printers.
Why do my print jobs always print double-sided?In an effort to save paper, the printers are configured to print double-sided by default. Printing single-sided is not supported.
