Software Recommendations

The following is a list of software the ResNet Student Workers feel you will find useful. It is provided as a courtesy and no claim or guarantee is made by ResNet for these applications. We do not service or support the following applications.

Windows:

• Mozilla Firefox: feature rich, standards compliant and faster than Internet Explorer

• Trillian: Instant Messenger Client that connects to multiple networks and is highly customizable

• iTunes: Excellent all around Music solution. Burn CDs, Listen to your friend down the hall's music (legally) and download music (legally) all with one app.

• Gunbound: Simple, free, addictive online tank shooting game

Mac OS X:

• Adium: Highly customizable, multiple protocol (AIM, MSN etc.) IM client. Features tabs and it "lighter" than Apple's iChat

• XFactor: p2p application for the Mac, uses the KaZaA and gnutella networks (among others) to give you very good selection

• Freeverse: a great independent Mac gaming company that offers generous demos of all their great games.
